In short
- You start with a Free account, at no cost and with no card.
- It is a single account for the app and the website.
- You train in the app: timer, benchmarks, SafeTrack, Tribe and more.
- Payments and the subscription are managed only on the website.
- You decide what you share and you can delete your account whenever you want.
How do I get started with Zoku Athletics?
- Create your Free account at zokuathletics.com. It costs nothing and needs no card. Confirm your email with the link or the code we send you.
- Request access to the app: it is in closed testing on Android and is not in the stores yet. There is no launch date yet.
- Open the app and sign in with the same email and password.
- Pick your first workout: the WOD of the day on Home, a benchmark or one of your own with the timer.
- When you finish, save the result and check your progress in your Profile.
You can also create the account from the app itself. If you need help with sign-in, read how the website works.
What does each part of the app do?
- Timer
- Time your workout with For Time, AMRAP, EMOM or Tabata, with a time cap, or chain blocks in a mixed mode. When you finish you save the result and can share it.
- Benchmarks and WOD of the day
- Benchmarks are reference workouts you repeat to measure yourself. You log your result as Rx or Scaled and see your personal record and your history. On Home, the WOD of the day suggests a workout when one is scheduled.
- SafeTrack
- A backup alert for your outdoor sessions. You pick the activity and start it. If you stay still, it asks whether you are OK; if you do not answer, it opens your messaging app with your location ready for your emergency contacts. The SMS only goes out when you tap Send, and contacts who have confirmed their email also get an email. It needs signal and battery and does not work with the app closed. You can also trigger the SOS yourself.
- Tribe
- Your community. You share workouts in the feed, give kudos, comment, follow other athletes and message them.
- Rival Live
- You compete on benchmarks from the Zoku catalogue with a global ranking, whenever you choose to take part.
- Vital Flow
- You report how you arrive (perceived effort and, if you like, sleep and HRV) and the app adjusts the load of your workout: lower if you arrive tired, higher if you arrive fresh. It is indicative; more in the fatigue and HRV guide.
- Posture Coach
- Technique feedback with the live camera or with a video you upload, in exercises such as the squat or the deadlift. It is indicative and can be wrong.
- Solidary Reps
- Your workouts add up to charity campaigns. Each campaign states its goal and its conditions.
- Profile and subscription
- In your Profile you see your progress, monthly goals, achievements and history, and adjust privacy, notifications and emergency contacts. In "Your Subscription" you see your plan.
What does the Free plan include?
The Free plan needs no card and does not expire. It includes the timer with all its modes, unlimited benchmarks, the Tribe feed, Rival Live and SafeTrack with SOS. Solidary Reps is included in Pro and Elite.
Some features, such as Vital Flow, DJ Mode or the posture coach, depend on the plan. The plans section of the home page shows what each one includes.
Where do I manage my subscription?
Only on the website. You subscribe, change plan and cancel at zokuathletics.com, in "Your Subscription", with the same account you use in the app. The app does not sell subscriptions: it shows your plan and unlocks its features.
If you have a paid plan, the app includes a button that opens that section of the website. To get in, sign in. The details are in how the website works.
How is my privacy protected?
- You decide when to turn SafeTrack on. Nobody at Zoku follows your location in real time.
- You can make your profile private and choose which workouts appear in the Tribe.
- Health data, such as Vital Flow data, is requested with your consent.
- Vital Flow's AI adaptation is optional and off by default.
- You can delete your account from the app or from the website. The details are in the Privacy Policy.
What are the most common questions?
Do I need the website or only the app?
You train in the app and manage the paid plans on the website. It is a single account, with the same sign-in details in both places.
Is it really free?
Yes. The Free plan is free, with no card and no expiry. Pro and Elite are paid; what each includes is shown in the plans section of the home page.
Does it work if I train without signal?
In part. You can train and your session is saved. Live features, such as Rival Live rankings or the Tribe feed, need a connection. SafeTrack does not work without signal or without battery either: without them it cannot alert your contacts.
Is there a minimum age to create an account?
Yes, 18 years old: Zoku Athletics is for adults only.
Does SafeTrack alert 112?
No. It prepares the SMS for your emergency contacts (it only goes out when you tap Send), emails those who have confirmed their email and does not replace the emergency services.
Which languages is it available in?
Spanish and English, both the app and the website.
